Cardio Options

We recommend using your phone or our favorite app is the Interval Timer app (shows in the App Store as: "Interval Timer - HIIT Workouts")

  1. Outdoor HIIT Running (bring your jogger!): Jog for 1 minute, pick up the pace to a fast run for 30 seconds, then walk for 1 minute. Repeat 10x. 25 minutes.
  2. At Home HIIT: 1 minute of jumprope at a moderate tempo (if you don't have a jumprope, pretend you're jumping rope), 30 seconds of mountain climbers at an all out effort, 1 minute rest.  Repeat 10x. 25 minutes.
  3. Alternative Cardio For Less Impact: On a bike or elliptical complete 90 seconds at base pace followed by 30 seconds at a sprint pace (use the intensity scale below). Repeat this 5 times (10 minutes) then rest for 2 minutes and repeat a second set. 22 minutes.
